Rio, da gibt es nichts zu diskutieren, ist eine der schönsten Städte der Welt. Und auch die brasilianischen Briefkästen mit ihrer ganz eigenen Form sind hoch erfreulich, zumindest, wenn man Plastik mag. Was ich allerdings erstaunlich fand: ich stieß direkt auf mehrere, die ziemlich schief standen oder hingen, einmal direkt an der Copacabana, einmal an einer Hauswand im Viertel Santa Teresa. Ob das ein Kundenfeedback in Form von Tritten oder Hieben war? Oder ein Hinweis darauf, dass momentan einiges schief läuft in Brasilien? Interpretationssache.

There is no room for discussion here: Rio is one of the most amazing and beautiful cities in the world. And the Brazilian letterboxes with their unique design also please the eye, at least if you like plastic. What I found striking, however, was that not only one but a number of them were a bit crooked as they were standing or hanging there, one right at the Copacabana, the other in the cute Santa Teresa neighbourhood. Is it a kind of feedback from not so happy customers? Or a sign that some things are not going quite right in Brazil at the moment? It´s all a question of interpretation.
