So, nach jede Menge gelb und rot hier auf dem weltweit einflussreichsten Briefkastenblog wird es mal wieder Zeit für eine andere Farbe. Da bietet sich ein kambodschanischer Briefkasten an, zumindest die schönen grün-weißen, die im Städtchen Siem Reap aufgestellt sind. Es gibt nämlich auch gelbe, aber das nur nebenbei. Wären nicht die Ruinen von Angkor Wat ganz in der Nähe, Siem Reap wäre wohl nur ein verschlafenes Dörfchen. So hat es sogar ein Hard Rock Café, wer auch immer das braucht. Und ohne die postkartenschreibenden Touristenmassen gäbe es wahrscheinlich auch nicht annähernd so viele Briefkästen hier, die man anhand der kleinen Karte auf den Briefkästen spielend leicht finden kann (wobei, wenn man die Karte einmal sieht, hat man ja auch den Briefkasten schon gefunden und benötigt wahrscheinlich keinen weiteren). Wie auch immer, grün freut das Herz und macht gute Laune.

After so many red and yellow letterboxes here, on the world´s most influential postbox blog, it is time for another colour. Cambodian letterboxes come in handy in their pleasant green and white design. At least those dotted around the town of Siem Reap. Because there are yellow ones as well. Without the nearby ruins of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap would probably only be a sleepy village. Today, with thousands and thousands of tourists visiting, there is even a Hard Rock Café (whoever needs a Hard Rock Café). And without the many postcards sent by tourists, there would hardly be as many letterboxes as there are. You can easily find them on the map sticked on the postboxes. Although, once you have found the map on the letterbox, you probably don´t need yet another postbox. Oh well… Whatever. Green is always eye-pleasing and puts me in a happy mood.
