Es ist Mitte Dezember, eigentlich sollte es winterlich kalt sein und vielleicht schon der erste Schnee liegen. Stattdessen waren es heute 18 Grad und ich war versucht, meine Flipflops aus dem Schuhschrank zu holen. Da es keinen Winter mehr zu geben scheint, ist die Zeit gekommen für einen winterlichen Briefkasten. Dieser hier steht am Alatsee im Allgäu. Der See ist sehr klein, man kann einmal um ihn herumlaufen und zack – ist man in Österreich. Es war ein sehr schöner Schneespaziergang. Einen Brief verschickt habe ich damals nicht.

It´s the middle of December, supposed to be cold outside, maybe with a bit of snow. Well, today we had 18 degrees here in Germany and I felt tempted to get my flipflops out of the shoe cabinet. As there seems to be no winter any more around here, it seems appropriate to at least post a winterly letterbox. This one stands close to the Alatsee, a small lake in the southernmost part of Germany, the Allgäu. The lake is tiny, you can walk around it and – surprise ! – suddenly you are in Austria. It was a beautiful walk in the snow back then. I didn´t send a letter.
